How RoyaleDeck Computes Its Stats
Last updated Oct 14, 2026
Where the data comes from
- Every battle comes from the official Clash Royale API (Supercell), accessed server-side through the RoyaleAPI proxy. Nothing is scraped from other sites.
- RoyaleDeck tracks up to 5,000 active players: the global and regional Ranked (Path of Legends) leaderboards, plus opponents and clan-mates found in their battles.
- Battle logs are read every 15 minutes for players due a refresh (every 2–6 hours each, depending on rank). Each battle is stored once, even when both players are tracked.
What is counted
- Only 1v1 battles with complete decks: Ranked, Trophy Road and challenges. Friendly, 2v2 and event battles are stored but not counted in the meta.
- Evolutions and Heroes are tracked as their own versions of a card, exactly as they were played.
- Statistics are computed for the last 1d, 7d, 30d and recalculated every 6 hours.
How decks are ranked
- Meta score combines a conservative win rate (the lower bound of a 95% Wilson interval, so small samples cannot top the list) with how often the deck is played.
- A deck needs at least 60 battles to be ranked, and 40 battles before its win rate is shown. Below that, pages say "Not enough data" instead of showing a number.
- Every stat on the site shows its period and the number of battles behind it.
Matchups, counters and analysis
- Deck-vs-deck and card-vs-card results come from real battles; a matchup needs 30 battles before it is shown.
- Deck Analysis scores (attack, defence, air, ground, cycle, synergy) are rule-based, from each card's roles and elixir cost. They are deterministic and are not AI.
Data retention
- Battles are kept for 62 days, enough for every period and its previous period (used for trends).
